Immediately following the parade, visit Kids 'N' Stuff for a "lit" after party! Explore our brand-new winter exhibit, "Chill Out!", and skate on our custom-built sock-skating rink! Plus, kids can write a letter to the North Pole, take part in winter crafts and activities, decorate your own gingerbread cookies to take home, and even visit with Santa himself in our Winter Wonderland! A Parents & Me Painting Class with Jackson School of the Arts December 14, 2 - 3:30 pm |
Get ready for an afternoon of creativity, color, and delicious treats! Join us for "Cookies and Canvas: A Parent & Me Painting Class" - a special guided art experience led by the talented instructors from Jackson School of the Arts.
Together, you and your young artist will create your very own winter masterpieces, step-by-step, in a fun and relaxed atmosphere perfect for all skill levels. Whether it’s your first time holding a paintbrush or you’re a seasoned mini–Monet, this is a wonderful way to spend quality time together and make lasting holiday memories. As you paint, enjoy a cozy assortment of fresh-baked cookies from our friends at the Foundry Bakehouse and Deli! All art supplies, treats, and beverages are included with your ticket — just bring your imagination and your holiday spirit! This experience costs $10 per participant. Adults and children 4 years and older will each receive their own supplies, canvas, and treats. Adults with children 3 years and younger may purchase a joint ticket, and will share supplies and work jointly on one canvas. All children must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult (over the age of 18) in order to participate in this program - unaccompanied children will not be allowed to participate. Please note - seating for this program is limited, so we recommend purchasing tickets ahead of time to ensure a seat! Online tickets are now sold out - very limited tickets will be available in person before the event. No ticket sales will be available past 1:45 PM. Join us for a "super-cool" special program with our friends from the Michigan Science Center! Utilizing liquid nitrogen (LN2), we’ll see some ‘cool’ effects on solids, liquids and gases - from "popping" a frozen balloon, to making clouds indoors, and even launching a bottle rocket - all using liquid nitrogen!
