Katie Gigliotti has served as executive director since June of 2022.

​Originally from the Metro Detroit area, Katie knew from a young age that she wanted to work in a museum. A graduate of Michigan State University, Katie has vast experience working in the nonprofit and advertising industries. She started her career at an art gallery and auction house in Metro Detroit. Most recently Katie served as Director of Learning and Engagement at a multi-disciplinary museum where she worked to connect the community to the museum’s offerings with a keen focus on unique programs and accessibility for all.  Katie and her husband have five year old twins who already love being KNS kids.

Nick VanAcker has served as Director of Outreach & Education since September of 2022.

​Born and raised in Lansing, Nick has been a museum lover since birth. A graduate of Michigan State University, Nick has worked in many museums, zoos, and science centers across Michigan, specializing in non-formal education and guest experience. Some of his previous work includes wrangling alligators, organizing dinosaur bones, and leading guided tours of space. Nick and his wife are the proud parents of two children, a dog, a cat, and far too many house plants.

Rebecca has been a key member of the KNS team since August of 2024. 

Originally from Bay City, Rebecca is now an Albion local. She lives with her husband, dog, and cat, and loves taking walks downtown to Victory Park. With a Bachelors in Computer Animation and a collegiate level education in piano, she has a diverse history in art, music, and all things creative. With over a decade in customer service, she has also served several years in schools as a paraprofessional and substitute teacher, and her passion is working with and around kids. Her favorite museum (besides KNS!) is the Detroit Institute of Art.

Jena has served as Marketing & Communications Manager since February of 2025.

Originally from the Jackson, Jena's love for museums grew while she lived and studied in Detroit.  She began her career before graduating when she interned for the Detroit Institute of Arts and worked for the Wayne State Galleries and the Dean's office of Communication. As a graduate of Wayne State University, Jena brings a background in communications, non-profits, and fine arts. Her experience brought her back to Jackson where she continued her museum and non-profit work. In her spare time Jena loves to do yoga, spend time with her family and work on her printmaking.
