Rules for Adult Guests
Supervision
- The museum is a place to play and explore with your children. Please leave work at home and limit cell phone use.
- Parents/Caregivers are responsible for child supervision at all times inside the museum and on museum property. All children must be accompanied by a parent/caregiver 16 years or older when visiting the museum.
- Lack of adequate adult supervision of children is grounds for immediate removal from the museum without refund.
- If the children in your care are behaving in a way that is unsafe for them or others, museum staff will intervene.
- Child drop-offs are prohibited.
- As we serve young children and families at our museum, obscene, abusive, or otherwise disrespectful language will not be tolerated.
- We also must insist that all our guests wear clothing that does not show or highlight private areas of the body.
- Management reserves the right to ask guests not following our rules to leave the museum immediately without a refund
- Adults are not permitted beyond the front desk without children. Adults wishing to visit the museum can request a brief tour based on staff availability. We recommend calling ahead to make an appointment with the appropriate person. Adults meeting family or friends who are already in the museum must either have the family pre-purchase their admission and leave the adult's name with front desk staff or call the family already inside to meet them at the front desk after purchasing admission.
- Business visitors must check in at the front desk upon arrival.
- Children with an elevated temperature, illness that may be contagious (such as pink eye or flu), or too sick to go to school are asked not to visit the museum. for the safety of our guests. If you discover your child may have been contagious while visiting the museum, please call (517)629-8023 to alert us so we can add extra sterilization to the cleaning schedule.
- For the safety of all our visitors, the museum does not permit guns/weapons of any kind inside the building. Uniformed police officers are the only exception.
- The museum is a non-smoking facility (including e-cigarettes). We ask that you do not smoke within 20 feet of museum entrances.
- Service dogs are the only animals permitted at the museum. If you are able/willing, please feel free to answer questions our young guests might have about your dog and how to be respectful around service animals, since many of them will have questions that parents may not be able to answer.
- Kids 'N' Stuff permits still and video photography for personal/noncommercial use.
- Guests may be filmed, photographed, or recorded by Kids 'N' Stuff for educational and promotional uses including for posting on the Kids 'N' Stuff website and social media platforms. Please inform staff if you prefer not to be photographed.
