Arts and Industry Council/    MCACA Mini-Grant
To fund Let’s Pretend, a collaborative effort of Kids 'N' Stuff: An Interactive Experience for Kids (KNS) children’s museum and the Albion Youth Theatre initiative (AYT) that will provide quality theater experiences for local elementary students, throughout the 2006 – 2007 school year and the summer of 2007.
Arts and Industry Council/   W.K. Kellogg Foundation Community Development Artist in Residence Grant To Fund The Art of Storytelling, a comprehensive series of artist residencies that will expose participants to the art of children’s book illustration, story writing and storytelling. The program will take place between December 1, 2006 and June 1, 2007 at Kids ‘N’ Stuff (KNS) children’s museum in downtown Albion, a fully accessible facility. The target audiences for this project are children 3 – 10 years old and their families, area preschool and elementary schools and area college students studying children’s literature.
Center for Creative Play/ W.K.Kellogg Foundation
The W.K. Kellogg Foundation has generously awarded Center for Creative Play (CFCP) a grant that will allow the organization to assess 20 existing children’s museums over the next two years.
Community Foundation Alliance of Calhoun County Arts and Culture Operating Support Grant To support general museum operations.
Community Foundation Alliance of Calhoun County Gap Programming Grant

To assist us in providing year round quality gap programming for elementary children.

State of Michigan - Department of Human Services To assist us in providing year round quality gap programming for at-risk youth.
Gannett Foundation/  Battle Creek Enquirer

To assist us in the development of a Junior Great Books Program, a weekly discussion and reading program where youth k -5 will be bussed to the museum to learn through the shared inquiry method of reading.  

Guido A. and Elizabeth H. Binda Foundation To increase institutional capacity through the development of strategic partnerships and institutional planning. The development of an Education Master Plan will ensure that these programs align with the mission and meet community needs.
